The Appleton Echo
Autumn Term 1, Week 1
A Word from Mr Broom
What an amazing first week! It's been an absolute pleasure to see the children running up the school path, so excited to get stuck in to their learning in class. I must say that we are delighted with the attitude to learning and the exceptional uniform at the start of the year. They look and act like a super team!
I did mention earlier that our learning journeys would be ready to share with you today but with the new format, we need a little longer to finalise the plans and include the children's interests. Keep an eye out for a special newsletter on Monday.
Have a lovely weekend everyone.

OfSTED Parent View
We start the new academic year expecting an Ofsted Inspection at some point in the year. We are certainly well overdue!
You can really help us by completing the Ofsted Parent View online survey. It's a short series of questions that should take you no longer than 10 minutes. Of course, when we do get the call, you'll get another opportunity to share your views.
Click here to access the online survey on the government website.

We've got the red ties in school now and they're ready to present to our Year 6 children on Monday in assembly. Look out for our excellent year six role models as they leave school on Monday afternoon.

I always like to share our School Improvement Plan with parents at the start of the academic year. It gives you an indication of what we are trying to achieve and build on from last year. You can access the new plan below.
Staff Shout Outs
I've had a few messages from parents/carers asking about how they can send a staff shoutout for a staff team. It's great that you think about them and really does help to raise morale.
