Shout Out!

This weeks shout out goes to Haley Berry, Maggie Morgan, Sherry Grimes, Kathy Coker, Sandra Newton, Jenny McDonald, Macie Humphrey, Carrol Selph, Patti Lyle, Amanda Beck, Paula Lee, Lisa Stone, and Jill Wilhite for all their hard work to make grandparents day a special occasion for our students and grandparents. Thank you also to all the parents, and former teachers who came out to help as well. The photo station was a huge hit. Maggie had 93 group sittings on the first day alone. We plan to use the money to help with the initial cost of the arty party coming in November.

Wednesday-Kindergarten field trip to the Fair,Faculty meeting at 3:45 in Ms. Adcock's room.

Thursday--4th grade field trip to the Fair

Friday--Spirit day--Wear your TASD Potential Realized and jeans, Box Top Store, Trice H.O.G.S. at Razorback stadium.

What's Happening Around Trice

TRAHC exhibit showcasing Ms. Frost!

TRAHC will be hosting an exhibit showcasing 12 area art educators from September 1st through October 28th. Our very own amazing art teacher, Christina Frost, will have pieces on display! The Regional Arts Center is open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10 AM until 4 PM. Admission is always free.

Patriot Day 9/11/2017


Monday, September 11th, 2017 marks the 16 year anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center in New York City, the Pentagon, and United Airlines Flight 93 which crashed in suburban Pennsylvania. Patriot Day serves as a remembrance of the lives lost on that September morning.



The President directs that United States flags be flown at half-staff at individual American homes, at the White House, and on all U.S. government buildings and establishments, home and abroad from sunrise until sunset on September 11 of each year. The President also asks Americans to observe a moment of silence beginning at 8:46 AM Eastern time, the time the first plane struck the North Tower of the World Trade Center that morning

Professional Growth Plan

Soon we will be scheduling your PGP meetings. Please be thinking about a personal goal that you would like to work on this year. We will also have a school wide goal and we will discuss that goal during the faculty meeting on Wednesday. If you and your team or grade level would like to set a goal you may do so in addition to your personal and school goal.

Will Sub

If you are going to be out you must contact WillSub even if a sub is not required. Any reason other than personal illness requires approval from the principal before a sub will be booked. If you are planning to use a personal day then you must put in the request at least 24 hours in advance. Please make requests as early as possible in order to get the sub you want. To enter a sub request on line go to: www.willsub.com or phone 1-877-945-5782. You are always responsible for requesting your own sub or turning in your absence. If you are planning to be out for half a day, then the time is 7:45-11:45 for the morning and 11:45-3:45 for the afternoon. Please also notify me and Ms. Becky by email, text or phone if you are going to be absent.

Arty Party

Please see Ms. Newton if you would like to be on the committee. We are planning to have food trucks in the bus lane, photo booth, sell bracelets for unlimited access to the art stations, silent auction, etc. If we get 100% participation for this night I will have a surprise for the entire staff. Please see Ms. Newton to sign up for a shift.

Ms. Torrans' father will lead us in the pledge. We will highlight students with parents currently on deployment and those serving within the States. If you know of a student whose parent is currently deployed please let me know. If you would like to be on the committee please see Ms. Stevens.

Make sure you find a way to include them and keep their parents informed on the dates and plans so they can make an educated decision about their child.
