NBHS Morning Announcements

FCCLA has had a wonderful day at the 22/23 Section Meeting. 24 students and Mrs. McClarey and Ms Butler attended workshops on Leadership, mental health, culinary arts, and self defense and listen to Keynote speaker Robby Rollins. Savannah Kramer competed in Interior Design and is qualified to compete at the state level in April. Savannah Kramer and Alex Frazier applied and were elected as officers to the 2023/24 Section 6 Executive Committee.

Next week is National FFA Week, students have dress up plans for the High School, Jr High, and Elementary planned.

Each year, students, staff, and parents have the opportunity to provide our school valuable feedback that helps our district and schools make improvements in 5 areas that the survey focuses on: Effective Leaders, Collaborative Teachers, Ambitious Instruction, Supportive Environment, and Involved Families.

This closes March 31, 2023. We are currently at a 19% Completion Rate and need to be at 20% to get a report of the parent findings. If a few more parents complete this, we will hit our goal!! Thank you for completing this and providing us feedback!

Spanish Club’s Chuck the Duck fundraiser was a hit raising $450. Our winner, Julie Rector, donated her winnings back to the club.

The 20-21 Yearbooks have been ordered and we are still waiting on arrivals. I know it can be frustrating, but there's been a lot of communication back and forth with Jostens regarding this and we are working to get them in ASAP. The 21-22 Yearbooks are almost completed and will be in by the end of the semester.

I really appreciate everyone's patience with the yearbook, and after this year we will be back on track with everything! Please reach out if you have any questions!

Each week, all students that have been to class on time for every class period (no tardies or unexcused absences), have had great behavior (no referrals - not even homework), AND are passing all classes will earn one!

We are doing this week by week, so everyone has a fresh start each week!
