The Falcon Focus
Where Our Energy Flows (Vol. 1, Issue 1 - 8/18/24)
Week of 8/19/24
Welcome to the 2024-2025 School Year!
I truly hope everyone had a relaxing summer and is recharged for what I believe will be one of the best years LPES has seen! We are fully staffed and I know our new colleagues will only add to the positive energy we have in the building. Everyone has done a fantastic job preparing the building and their classrooms...I am truly honored to work alongside such dedicated educators.

Please review assembly expectations (appropriate applause, body/eyes/ears on the speaker) and hallway expectations prior to this assembly.
Safety Plan & Drills
We have a fire drill planned for August 28th @ 9:30 AM. We will be reviewing our Safety & Crisis Plan on 8/20/24, which you will find in the Hub and in your mailboxes next week. Teachers will get two copies, one for you and one to include with your sub plans. If you ever have any questions or concerns regarding building safety/security, please come and see me.
Breakfast & Lunch
Breakfast and lunch will be free to all students this year. Breakfast will begin on Day 1 this year. With the exception of breakfast on the first day of school, students will be required to enter their pin numbers when getting lunch or breakfast. Any support that teachers can provide that will expedite this process is very much appreciated.
All available staff is asked to assist with arrival and breakfast on the first day of school. We will need assistance in getting students to classrooms and through the breakfast line as quickly as possible.

Live morning announcements will occur daily at 9:01 AM. Jesse is working on creating a schedule for the student leaders to be our readers. Until that is set up, we will use a variety of staff to relay the morning announcements.

Dress Down Days
Staff are able to dress down on Fridays for a $2.00 contribution to our Casual for a Cause fund. These funds are used to support building-wide needs and student needs that may arise during the school year. The first Friday of each month is a Falcon Pride Spirit Day when the students and staff are asked to wear PG colors and or gear to show PG pride. We also have other "free" dress down days throughout the school year. During football season, if the Eagles win, the next day is a dress down day for staff. Spirit days are dress down days and you can earn additional dress down days by becoming a member of the PTA.
