Check for Head Lice: We have been battling head lice in some of our classrooms this year. We encourage you to check your child's hair each night. If you do find live lice in your child's hair, please contact Nurse Sydney so we can do a head check on students in your child's homeroom. Anytime we have a student with live bugs, we conduct head checks in the homeroom of that student and on any child who resides in the same home as the child with lice. If live bugs or nits are found, we will contact you. Students with live bugs will be sent home for at least 24 hours to allow for treatment. Once treated, your child will be rechecked by Nurse Sydney before being allowed to go back to class. Students with nits can return to class, but will be rechecked five days later.
