A Message from the Administrative Team
Greenwood Students and Families:
It is hard to believe that next week will be mid-quarter and progress reports will be coming out the following week. Please remind your students to effectively communicate with their instructors if they have questions concerning their grades.
With fall sports in full swing, we remind athletes, coaches, student-fans, parents, and community members in attendance to keep in mind sportsmanship. Please represent Greenwood with class and focus on supporting our athletes and coaches. It is not the place for our fans to question or yell at the officials. The coaches can communicate with the officials if there are issues. Please make an effort and avoid embarrassing Greenwood and be positive with your words and actions in the stands. We appreciate and love our fans and ask that they be loud, proud and support our Jays!
Secondary parents – please remind students to park in the student lot (#28). The lot west of Greenwood (#8) is for Greenwood and MSU faculty and staff. Also, as a courtesy to our guests, please remind them not to park in the guest spots.
Parents - We have a new attendance email, please use this email to report absences for your students. GWDAttendance@gmail.com
We want to give a big shout out to our staff for a smooth and effective start to the school year. We are so grateful for their continued efforts to educate all our students and we are fortunate to work with such outstanding professionals.
Have a great weekend!
Ron & Jeni
Soccer Jays Show Great Sportsmanship
During Tuesday night's soccer game against Laquey, Greenwood players Collin Clark and Sebastian Parada-Serrato carried an injured Laquey player off the field to safety after going down due to injury. This occured after the Laquey scored a goal against the Bluejays. Way to go for showing great sportsmanship, Soccer Jays!

Parents, if your child is participating in a sport, please be sure to sign and return the sportsmanship contract below to the office.

Hamburger Fry Donations Needed
Each year secondary students celebrate homecoming with our annual Hamburger Fry. Typically, the hamburger patties are donated by a GLS family and we are asking if any family would like to donate this year’s hamburger patties. If you are interested, please reach out to Mrs. Hopkins or Mr. Anderson for further information. GLS would gladly give your family credit for your generosity. Thank you for your support.
