The American Red Cross provides and installs smoke detectors in any CASD students’ homes where they are needed and instructs their families on their use and maintenance. This is done free of charge.

If you do not have a smoke detector(s) or one(s) that don’t work, the Red Cross can schedule a time to visit your home and install new devices. Simply call the Red Cross at 1-800-Red Cross or visit the Red Cross website.

Last Tuesday evening our 4th and 5th grade second year instrumental students performed at our district-wide winter concert held at the Coatesville Area Intermediate High School. Thank you to our band director, Mr. Cory Brackin and our orchestra director, Mrs. April Mullen for all of their time in organizing this event and preparing our students for an amazing show! Our students sounded amazing and the performances had everyone in the holiday spirit.

Volunteers from Jr. Achievement partners, Truist Bank, came to East Fallowfield on Monday 12/11 to work in our 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade classrooms. Students received an introduction on the importance of saving money. They then worked together to develop campaign ads for different products. Both students and our volunteers had a fun afternoon.

Last week, our East Fallowfield PTO sponsored our annual Holiday Shoppe event. Our students had a great time shopping for their loved ones. We are so thankful to our PTO and volunteers from the Coatesville Area High School who came to support this event.

Kindergarten students in Miss Kriston's class were having fun during their Every Day Math game called Roll and Record. Students roll a dot dice and then record the quantity in a bar graph!

The December PTO Meeting is cancelled. Our next meeting will be Tuesday, January 9, 2024.

Thank you to everyone who supported our Dine and Donate event last week at Tastebudz on 82! The food was amazing and the service was excellent. We look forward to partnering with this establishment in the future!

Chromebooks

• Please be sure to send your child back to school with their district-issued Chromebook and charger if they took it home for the summer.
• If your child turned in their Chromebook at the end of the year, they will be distributed within the first few days of school.
• If your child is in kindergarten or new to the district, laptops will be distributed within the first weeks of school.
• Technology Insurance Fees (TIF) can be made via RevTrak on the school district’s website: https://coatesvillearea.revtrak.net/casd-technology/.
• Should you have any technology concerns please contact our Technology Department at ithelpdesk@casdschools.org.

The district is continuing our contract with A Child’s Place as our before and after care provider. Please see the attached flyer below for information about rates and how to enroll your child. We are happy to announce that we will have both before and after care at East Fallowfield this year!
