Week of: November 14th, 2022
Message from Terri & Jayson
Hello everyone,
Thank you for your dedication and commitment to this past week's professional development around DEI. We hope you enjoyed seeing Dr. Brown again! We both love his message and the stories and past experiences he shared with us. A particular quote that stood out to us read, "Teach the kids in front of you...not the ones you wish you had". We also think, especially as we approach the holiday months to remember the Four F's - Fun, Fair, Firm, and Flexible!
Parent conferences are already underway at South Row! Thank you for your commitment to our families.
Please keep our Veterans in your hearts and minds over the holiday.
Enjoy the long weekend!
Respectfully,
Terri & Jayson

Reminders & Updates
Shout Out? Looking to give a colleague a shout-out in-school link? Use this link! This is a great way to show appreciation for one another! =)
Thankful Thursdays: The office will continue to pick names out of a hat and surprise staff members with a special treat the next day. Should you want to engage in Thankful Thursday and surprise a colleague as well on a given week or two, feel free to use this list, but of course, this is totally optional. Click here to update your info if you haven't already.
Tier II Updates: Tier II facilitators have started to meet with teachers after our Tier II Launch at staff meeting a few weeks ago. With the short weeks, we have not gotten to everyone yet and some teachers requested a bit more time. If you have already met with your facilitator and are ready to start with interventions feel free to begin. We are hoping all interventions are started by November 28th in all grade levels. As a reminder, you can refer a student to Tier II at any time throughout the year. Please just use the referral form linked here. As a reminder, we are asking teachers to have students track their progress and self-assess as a source of data this year. Please click here for pre-made tracking forms. All you need to do is make a copy, label it the student's name, and post it on google classroom assigned to the student in the intervention. These will be helpful when we are assessing how the intervention is going from the student's perspective. We recognize some educators are waiting for groups to begin and/or supervised visits to the sensory path. Thank you for your patience as we work to connect with everyone to assess needs across the building. Feel free to connect with your facilitator with any questions you may have. Continue to be on the lookout for updates from your facilitator.
November Staff Meeting: Feel free to click this link to access our November staff meeting presentation should you wish to revisit the content.
PRIDE ticket Jars: Please empty your PRIDE Jars into your grade level jars and check to see if a line is reached! If you are in need of some grade-level reward ideas, please reach out to Sarah K.
Parent Conferences:
- Will take place on November 17th and December 7th.
- We recognize some educators may schedule conferences outside of these two dates. That is completely fine, but the dates above MUST be offered.
- As a reminder we are encouraging in-person conferences but we are also able to accommodate remote - if you choose to do remote please use google meet.
- If you would like an administrator present for your conference, please reach out to Terri and Jayson.
November 17th Parent Conference Day (Paraprofessionals) Schedule:

Re-Take Picture Day Information from the Picture Day Coordinators Debbie and Kim: Re-take will take place Tuesday, November 29th from 9am-10:30am. Any students and/or staff that were absent in October will have another opportunity to be photographed at this time. There will not be a schedule and it will be a "drop in" at your earliest convenience arrangement. Please plan accordingly if you have any students that need to be photographed that day. Students must return their original package if they are asking for a retake. The retake location is by the adult restrooms in the front of the building (in the alcove). Debbie/Kim will provide you a list of students from your class that were marked absent, tardy or dismissed on the original picture day. If you have any questions, please contact the office.
