Winter Quarterly Newsletter
Today is a Great Day to be a Cougar! As finish we up the semester, I would like you to join me in welcoming Dr. Justin Comegys to our administrative team as an assistant principal. Dr. Comegys fills the vacancy created as a result of Mrs. Nathalie Princilus transferring to our sister school, Hodgson Vo-Tech High School. He joins Mr. Michael Kittel, Dr. Sarah Olsavsky, and Mr. Kevin Thomas to complete the administrative team, and his areas of responsibility include supervising mathematics, special education, STEP Program, 18-21 Program, and the guidance department.
Dr. Comegys is a familiar face in the NCC Vo-Tech School District and returns to us after serving three years as an assistant principal at Alfred G. Waters Middle School. Prior to that position, Dr. Comegys spent four years in our district as a social studies teacher, an instructional specialist, and an acting assistant principal. He was formerly a classroom teacher at Christiana High School.
“I am excited to rejoin the NCCVT family and to work with an amazing group of students and educators,” said Dr. Comegys.“Delcastle provides incredible experiences to students and sets them up for success. This is exactly why I wanted to return to this great community. I look forward to helping continue this success by supporting teachers, connecting with families, and helping students prepare for their futures.”
Dr. Comegys earned a Masters of Education in Applied Technology and his doctorate in Innovation and Leadership from Wilmington University, along with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Delaware.
We are truly thankful to Mrs. Princilus for her dedication to the Delcastle family over the years and look forward to Dr. Comegys working with the Delcastle community to support student achievement.
This quarterly newsletter contains information about major activities that occurred during the first marking period. It also highlights achievements made by students and staff. In addition, weekly push notifications are sent through Delcastle’s School Info App that contains links to Delcastle’s athletic webpage, Facebook, Twitter, and school website.
Respectfully,
