Congratulations to Karley Heminger on being selected as the September Senior Spotlight recipient. This award is given to a senior who the staff think is a positive leader within the school and is doing well academically. Some of the staff comments about Karley include that she is respectful to others and serves as a good role model. She isn't afraid to challenge herself and step up when needed. She always has a smile in class. Karley is caring to her fellow classmates and makes every effort to include everyone.

Sisseton School District students and staff will be showcasing their talents with music, dance, and performances on Friday, October 27th at 6:00 in the PAC.
In addition to the show, Filipino treats including puto, maja, cassava cake, empanadas, pastillas, and pancit will be available to try.

With colder weather approaching, please remember to take good care of your Chromebook. Do not leave it in your car or anywhere that it can freeze. Please make sure to keep it at a good charge, over 50%. Also, If you have the district protection plan, it only works if you keep your Chromebook in your case. We have had to send in six Chromebooks in the last week for screen damage. Please, take good care of your devices!

Planning on going to college in South Dakota?

October 1st through November 30th is the Free College Access Campaign for the state of South Dakota. During this time, you can apply to any of the six board of regent universities or South Dakota technical schools for free! Also, a reminder that seniors are allowed two exempt days for college visits. Please work with Mrs. Filipek to get the proper paperwork for those days to be exempt!

Stay caught up with your homework and grades by participating in Homework Help every Thursday in the SHS library from 3:30-5:00 pm. Come for a quiet space to work and extra support from teachers.
