PES Notes

Good morning, afternoon, and evening,

I was unsure when you would read this, so I thought I would cover them all. I do hope that each of you has had a wonderful week. Our students have been wonderful and are laying the foundation for a fantastic school year. Friday, August 12th, was the first day we had all our students on campus. While we had a couple of transition hiccups, otherwise, it was great. A huge thanks to each of you for having your students ready.

I want to say a huge thanks again for working with us with the car pickup change. It has helped get students picked up a little quicker. Your patience and help have been remarkable. Please remember not to park in the back until 2:15. Our PreK dismisses a bit earlier, and we want to leave room for them!

We have upcoming events at PES happening over the next few weeks that might interest you. Please take a few minutes and read over the different sections below and add these to your calendar. We want you to be involved with what is happening at PES.

Our PTO will meet August 15th at 6:00. We need each of you involved and would love for you to come join us. Our leadership team has put together some projects for the first semester and want you to be a part. Meetings are in the PES Cafeteria.

Per the last conversation I had, our smart school program is not ready to start yet. Hopefully, over the next few days, we will be told when we can begin. Students can still stay at the afterschool program with Ms. Joyce. As soon as we know the starting date, Dr. Pearcy or I will share this information. I am sorry I do not have more information.

Our district has a new website. It has all the information our old site had and much more. There is also an app for apple and google play for you to download. As a parent, I have found it to be helpful. Our old PES website will no longer be used. Please click HERE to visit the new website. You can scroll down to the bottom to find the links to our district app.

Here is the link for this week's PAID sheets. These sheets will inform you of what is happening in the student's classroom. You may also find teacher contact information on them.

Our Fall, or end of the summer, picture day is scheduled for August 24th. All students, Pre-K - 4th, will take their pictures. Information will come home next week explaining the cost if you decide to purchase.
