Principal's Message
Good afternoon Canby High School Students & Families,
This week brings finals, and next week is the start of the 2nd trimester. Congratulations to students for their hard work studying and finishing the trimester strong. As we begin trimester 2, this is a great opportunity to start fresh. Please watch for syllabi coming home with information about each of your student’s new classes.
With this new trimester, it is important that students establish good study habits and strategies to keep up on assignments. Remember to check parent/student vue regularly to check attendance and for any missing assignments. We know that attendance is the most important factor in getting passing grades. It also helps to have a routine for homework and good sleep patterns.
Beginning 2nd trimester, we are launching our “Ready to Learn” initiative. This means all students are expected to be on time, prepared, and have their cell phones away in their backpacks. We are committed to ensuring that all students are engaged and “ready to learn.” Thank you for your partnership.
Lastly, as we transition into the next trimester, we will have no school on Monday, 12/4, and all CHS offices will be closed.
Have a wonderful week!
Best,
Cari Sloan

CHS Giving Tree:
Each year, we put up the Giving Tree in the Main Office as a way of collecting gifts for kids in our community that could use a little extra holiday cheer. We partner with the Canby Kiwanis, and they give us a list of items that they need help purchasing for holiday gifts.
Donations will be accepted every day until the end of school on December 14th, so be sure to get all donations in before then!
All toys are accepted, but if you need ideas of what to buy, simply take an ornament off the tree and buy that gift, bringing back the ornament when you drop off the gift.
If you would like to help purchase some gifts this year, here's how the Giving Tree works
Go the Main Office
Take a paper ornament off the tree
Purchase that item (new)
Wrap that item
Return the wrapped item, with the paper ornament taped to the outside.
Feel warm and fuzzy inside knowing you did some good!

We have all of our athletics schedule all in one place on our master athletic schedule. This includes game times, locations, and bus departure times. It is updated real-time by your athletic department. Go to this link to see the current schedule, which is subject to change with little notice.
