Dual enrollment at Northwest Florida State College for the Spring 2024 semester is getting ready to begin. Below are links to bulletins that contain helpful information for both first-time and returning dual students.

Walton High School is hosting a Veterans Day fundraiser for GiGo, a non-profit organization that has supported military veterans and their family members, as well those in need, since 2006. Teachers are encouraged to show their support by donating $5 and wearing red, white, and jeans on November 8. Students may wear their most patriotic hat for a donation of $2.

Donations may be made in Mrs. Lawson's room (182). You'll receive a special sticker indicating your participation. Donations may also be made online at https://gigo.org/teams/WaltonHSBravesHelpingTheBrave. Thank you in advance for your support and helping us honor our veterans for their EPIC service to our country!

The Class of 2027 is selling Dean's Cakes for $30 through Wednesday, November 8. Pick-up will be on Wednesday, November 15. The 10 cake varieties may be viewed at http://deanscakehouse.com/our-cakes/. You may order through any freshmen OR Mrs. Cramer (cramera@walton.k12.fl.us).

There are seats available in the following areas at Emerald Coast Technical College for the spring semester (January 2024). A parent/student meeting is required for consideration. Meetings are available at ECTC at 5:00 p.m. on November 6 and 13. Call Lisa Jones (at 850-892-1241) to reserve your spot.

- Automotive Service Technology 1 (open to 11th and 12th graders)
- Electricity (open to 11th graders only)
- HVAC/R (open to 11th and 12th graders)
- Phlebotomy (12th graders only)
- Plumbing (open to 11th and 12th graders)
- Welding Technology (open to 11th and 12th graders)

Walton FFA has brought back their fruit fundraiser! The prices are listed on the graphic above. To order, please send an email to Ms. Jackson (autumn.jackson@walton.k12.fl.us) with the following information: name, phone number, item number, quantity, and method of payment (cash or check made payable to "Walton FFA"). You can also order through any Walton High FFA member or officer. Orders must be placed by November 17. Fruit should be delivered the week of December 11, right before Christmas break. We'll contact you when orders arrive. We have to order at least 100 boxes for them to deliver.
