Golf Brings Home State Silver

#PointerNation is your WIAA Division 3 Golf State Runner-Up!

After the last two years of finishing in 3rd place, we'll be bringing home some hardware from Kohler!

The Pointers finished with 686, behind champion Cambridge 657.

Individually, Carson Kroll and Eli Lindsey were the top Pointers finishing 9th, Alex Ross 14th, Drew Aschliman 18th, and Reid Acherman 31st.

State Trap Success

The Mineral Point MS/HS Trap Team Team competed at the Wisconsin High School Clay Target League State Tournament in Rome Sunday in the 2A Division. The Pointers placed 17th as a team.

-- Brody Lee was named All-State

-- Kasen Knight placed 3rd in the Junior Varsity Male category shooting a 90

-- Brody Lee received special recognition for shooting 50 in a row at State, one of only 16 to do so

-- Both Brody Lee and Abel Logue received recognition for shooting 25 in a row at State

State Special Olympics

AJ Rury and Eli Klein recently joined the Law Enforcement Torch Run held in Mineral Point! Known as Guardians of the Flame, law enforcement members and Special Olympics athletes will carry the “Flame of Hope” into Opening Ceremonies of the upcoming Summer Games. AJ and Eli were joined by Liam Olson and competed at Summer Games, held June 8-10th at UW-Whitewater. Over 1500 Special Olympics athletes and unified partners competed in track and field, cornhole, soccer, powerlifting, and tennis. Great job!
