I want to thank our families and community for all the support you have shown our students and district. We still have quite a few events happening before the winter break, and I hope that you can join us. We know that everyone is excited for the holidays, but please remember that attendance is important.

In the spring semester, be on the lookout for information on our Master Facility Plan. This is a project that we have been working on with the help of students, staff, and community members, focusing on the future of Floresville ISD. We also want to encourage everyone to download the Floresville ISD app, which is another way to stay connected and up to date with everything that happens in our district.

As always, I encourage everyone to stay alert and help us keep our schools safe. Remember to report any suspicious activity. If you see something, say something.

I hope that you have a safe holiday season. From my family to yours, Merry Christmas!

Parent Advisory Meeting

The Social Services Department will host a Parent Advisory Meeting via Google Meets on December 18 from 5 - 6 p.m. The education topic is "school success" and the guest speaker will be FSE's Emily Tejeda. Families are encouraged to register here!

Gifted and Talented Referral Process

District referral windows open in the spring semester, as well as testing. Kindergarten screening is January 10-24, while the Kinder testing window is February 12-23. Campuses will send out G/T referral forms. Click here for a full referral process timeline.

Look who's Floresville Fab!

Mrs. Frantz was nominated by her principal, Dr. Monica Schlueter: "Mrs. Frantz recognized that one of her students did not seem to be feeling well and sent him to the nurses office. The child had a 104.5 fever and was sent to hospital by ambulance. The child's dad wanted to be sure to thank and recognize Mrs. Frantz for noticing his son was not feeling well, sending him to the nurse, and acting 'so quickly' in ensuring his son got the care he needed."

Floresville ISD Students and Teacher of the Month

Mr. Trey King, teacher at Floresville High School, was named FISD's Teacher of the Month during the Board of Trustees regular meeting on Monday, December 4. FHS seniors Karen Aparicio and Eric Escobar are FISD's Students of the Month. Congrats! Read about their accomplishments here.
