Just a reminder that picture day is Monday, September 18th. Make sure to fill out the picture packets and have your student bring them to school on Monday.

Directions: Log onto Power school, on the left, click on “School Information”, scroll to the bottom and click on “School Forms”, Under your child’s name click on “Medical”, update “Student Health History” (add information the nurse needs to know then scroll to the bottom, type your name and select “Save Form”, select “Yes” if you are okay with the nurse caring for your child, select “Yes” if you want the nurse to do vision and hearing screenings, select “Yes” if you want your child to receive Acetaminophen/Tylenol at school. If you leave it blank, it translates to “No”.

Did you know that Fridays are spirit days? This is your chance to wear spirit wear like school t-shirts or school colors. Our colors are blue and yellow. Let's show our trailblazer pride.

On October 30th we will be hosting a Trunk or Treat here at the school. We are very excited about beginning this tradition. Our teachers will be decorating their cars, and we will be raffling off prizes. More information to come.

Our community school is up and running. Please reach out to Melanie Morales for more information by phone at 208- 855-4335 or by email at morales.melanie@westada.org. The community school can help families with school supplies, clothing, and even food.

The community school is always taking donations especially clothing items. They can be dropped off at the community school during school hours.

Ethan Snell is our counselor again this year. This month he is teaching the students about the breathing tool and zones of regulation. He is looking forward to continuing to build on the skills learned last year. He is also beginning to offer Clubhouse at lunch Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. This is where students can come to the library to play games. Students must follow the rules to be able to stay and play.

Prior to the start of the school year, we kindly request that you take the following steps to ensure that your student is assigned a transportation route:

1.) Login to PowerSchool

2.) If your child has a route assigned to them - GREAT!

• Please review the route assigned as well as your stop locations and times.

3.) If your child does NOT have a route assigned to them - UH OH!

• Please submit a HelpDesk ticket through our online system here: https://westada.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portal/30

• The transportation team is pushing out routes to families in around 48-72 hours.

Our district has partnered with tutor.com. This is a free online tutoring service offered by the district for students in grades 3-12. This service has individualized help for tutoring and homework. Visit the districts website for more information.
