Weekly Newsletter 22.12.23
This week...
Wow - what a fantastic first term we've had! It's been a very long one but we've packed it full of exciting events and engaging learning.
I hope you all have a blessed, peaceful (who am I kidding?!) and happy Christmas. It is well-deserved!
We've had several new families join us in the past few weeks, and would like to say how welcome you are to our super school!
Thank you, everyone, for your support this term. It's been such a genuine pleasure getting to know our amazing children and their lovely families. On a personal note, you've made my first term at St Joseph's a really happy one and I couldn't have asked for a kinder or more supportive group of families.
I'm sure the rest of year will see our school going from strength to strength as we continue to...
Live, love and learn with the Lord.
Mrs Ronicle
KS2 Carol Concert
On Thursday evening, we celebrated in Church with a beautiful carol concert, led by our KS2 children. It was a wonderful evening, and our children did us proud. Thank you to all the families who came along to celebrate with us!
100% Attendance!
Well done to the children who have had 100% attendance this term! They received a certificate in assembly and are invited to sit on our Golden Table this lunchtime.
We will give out attendance certificates at the end of each term so if you missed out this time, don't worry - you can hopefully earn one next term!
First Holy Communion
The children who have been involved in the sacramental preparation sessions will receive their First Holy Communion at Mass on:
Sunday 25th Feb, 10am, St Joseph's Church
Please see below for other upcoming dates.
Diamond Award!
A huge congratulations to this superstar for earning a Diamond Award this week! Mr Craigen has been thoroughly impressed with your fantastic attitude to learning all term. Well done!
A Message from St Joseph's Academy Council
What an amazing term! The governors would like to say a huge thank you to all of the St Joseph’s community for their work and contributions to the school since September.
Our thanks go to Mrs Ronicle for her leadership and dedication to our staff and families as we have worked through a very long term. We are most grateful to all of the staff who have shown great commitment to our pupils - ensuring that learning is both high quality and fun! We have also been delighted to see the establishment of the ‘Friends of St Joseph’s’ group and we hope this will continue flourish in 2024.
Thank you to all the families who have supported the school by attending assemblies, events, open classrooms, nativities and carol services - it has been a busy term. The AC wish everyone a joyous and peaceful Christmas.

Friends of St Joseph's would like to wish you all a very happy christmas! As a newly formed group of parents we have appreciated all your support this term from donations for the fayre to raffle ticket sales which in turn has allowed us to give the children some little festive treats in the last few weeks.
We have some exciting events planned for 2024. The first of which will be the start of 'Treat Fridays'. These will be the last Friday of every month so for January will be Friday 26th after school in the playground. Keep an eye out in the newsletter or the Facebook page for other news and updates.
