Dear Mabel Rush Families,
As we end the month of March we find ourselves still away from school. I wanted to share that the staff and I miss our students very much and we look forward to being back together again in the future.
With physical school on hold because of social distancing to help stop the spread of the Coronavirus, and with new guidance from the Oregon Department of Education regarding our closure, we are entering a new phase. Superintendent’s Message - March 31, 2020
On Monday our teachers began work to provide our students and families with activities and experiences to help continue the learning process at home. Newberg Public Schools will be sharing more about this work in the next day or two.

With school news and learning opportunities moving online it becomes especially important that we have the most current contact information for our parents. Friday food boxes will be distributed on Fridays at the same time as the grab and go food sacks, at Mabel Rush from 10:30 to 11:30am.
If You Need Assistance Please Let Us Know
Please know that we are ready to assist you in other ways as well. We are currently converting the office phone voicemails to emails so that we can continue to provide assistance. Monica Skaggs has been assigned a new phone number to contact families directly and she may be reaching out to you to offer assistance. Spanish speaking families can utilize the Spanish number to make contact with Sarah Whyte.

Technology Needs
We know some students and families do not have access to our communications or other resources because they need a device and/or internet access at their home. If you would like to request to borrow a device and/or need internet access, you can request it with this form. Please assist others who may need this and can’t see online communication, offering to fill out the form for them if they don’t have a way to do so. The district will be contacting families April 1 or 2.
