Only nine days left for students prior to being released for the Christmas holidays! We need to make these count! Fall benchmarks will be administered and it is of utmost importance for our RHMS students to try their very best so that we may gauge where they are academically and utilize the results to plan for our second semester. Fall benchmark schedules may be found below in the Calendar of Events. Our RHMS Bobcat Band will present their annual Holiday Concert on Wednesday, December 7th at 6:00 p.m. in the RHMS gymnasium. Band directors have been preparing our students for this festive occasion. Hope to see everyone here!

Here is the RHMS 7th Girls Basketball Team after their first win of the season against La Feria. Final score 61-21. Congratulations on a phenomenal job!

The RHMS 7th Grade Girls basketball team took 1st Place in the La Feria Tournament! Evan Ayala was name Most Valuable Player. Congratulations, girls! Well done!

This week students learned about drama. Here are a few students showing off their acting skills.

A few pictures of our students attending the RHMS Red Ribbon Fundraiser held on Monday, October 17, 2022 at Peter Piper Pizza in Harlingen. Thanks to our amazing turnout RHMS will receive a check for $527 to go into our Student Activity account! Thank you to all who showed up for the event!

Randall Olivares, 5th grade student, represented Rio Hondo Middle School at the RHISD School Board meeting held on November, 14, 2022 at 6:30 p.m. Randall was charged with reciting the pledges to the U.S. Flag and Texas Flag. Randall is the son of Gustavo and Sumre Olivares.
