Message From Kim
As we begin this new school year, I am honored and excited to be the new superintendent of the Medical Lake School District. Our School Board and district staff are thrilled to share our Medical Lake Promise and committed to fulfill it for all our students and families. Together, we will work to provide the best educational experience for each child.
The Medical Lake Promise
We promise to:
- Foster a safe and supportive learning environment through a culture of belonging
- Focus on personalized instruction that is engaging, challenging, and relevant
- Promote hope and a vision for the future from Early Learning through Post Secondary
for Every Student, Every Day
At the heart of our commitment is the creation of a safe and supportive learning environment. We understand that when students feel safe and included, they are more likely to thrive academically, emotionally, and socially. Our goal is to cultivate a culture of belonging where every student feels valued and respected, regardless of their background or abilities. We will collaborate with teachers, parents, and the community to ensure that our schools are nurturing spaces where students can learn and grow.
Personalized instruction lies at the core of our educational approach. Recognizing that each child is unique, we utilize teaching methods that support varying needs, interests, and learning styles. By doing so, we aim to make learning engaging, challenging, and relevant for every student.
Hope is a powerful force that drives success and achievement. We are committed to instilling hope in the hearts of our students, encouraging them to dream big and believe in their potential. From the earliest years of learning to their transition into post-secondary education, we will work to provide the resources and support necessary for students to envision a bright future for themselves.
Collaboration between schools, families, and the wider community is paramount to the success of our mission. We are eager to build strong partnerships with parents and guardians to ensure that our students receive the best support both at home and in school. Together, we will create a strong learning culture focused on growth opportunities for every child.
I am truly excited about the possibilities that lie ahead for the Medical Lake School District. Our journey toward fulfilling the Medical Lake Promise will require dedication, perseverance, and open communication. If we work hand-in-hand we can provide our students with an exceptional educational experience, one that gives them the skills, knowledge, and confidence to thrive in an ever-changing world.
Thank you for entrusting us with the education of your children. I look forward to meeting each of you and working together as we embark on this exciting new chapter.
New Communication System
New Communication System
Medical Lake School District will be moving from SchoolMessenger to ParentSquare this fall, ParentSquare is a unified app for school communication. Parents and guardians will receive announcements from the district and their children’s schools and teachers in one place, with options to specify how and when they are notified.
We are launching ParentSquare to reach and engage every parent, helping ensure all parents have the opportunity to actively participate in their children’s education. ParentSquare will be available for staff and parents to use on their computers or mobile devices.
We hope that ParentSquare’s intuitive, two-way platform will foster greater communication and family involvement. School staff and parents can engage in both one-to-one and group messaging with real-time language translation.
Our partnership with ParentSquare will enable stronger engagement between school and home, and help empower everyone within the school community to stay connected and informed. For more information on ParentSquare, please visit www.parentsquare.com.
