As we begin another year at OCHS, our sports teams are hard at work building off of the success from last year. We were the #1 athletic department for public schools in 3A in the GADA final standings (Below) and saw 23 student-athletes move on to play at the collegiate level. We are currently off to a great start for 2021-2022. You can find all of our fall athletic schedules included with this newsletter.

Our volleyball team is off to a fast start with a 13-3 record and #2 ranking in 3A according to Maxpreps. They host Hart Co. and East Jackson in region play 8.31.21 and Jefferson/Prince Ave. 9.2.21 in non-region play.

Our teams competed in the Bob Blastow Classic in Whitesburg, GA this past weekend and will travel to Berry College on 9.4.21 to compete in the Berry Clara Bowl. Here are some upcoming meets for our cross country program.

Our football Warriors defeated Cedar Shoals 27-19 after a one hour weather day this past Friday and North Oconee 35-28 in week 1. We travel to Clarke Central this Friday to square off against the Gladiators at 7:30pm.

Our softball team is coming off a 4-0 week winning 2 region games and 2 non-region games at the Titan-Warrior Classic in Winder. This week, our team host Morgan Co. and Stephens Co. and they will travel to Franklin Co. and Jefferson. We would also like to congratulate Coach Graham on winning his 200th game vs. Monroe Area.

Our competition cheerleaders are getting closer to their first competition which will be Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Morgan County. Our sideline cheerleaders have been doing a wonderful job during football games.

All of our athletic tickets have moved on the online platform, GoFan. We ask that anyone purchasing tickets has them downloaded and ready to be redeemed as they walk into the venue of the game they are attending. This will prevent a delay in entering the event.
