Deputy D's Danger Dodgers
Danger Dodgers are a group of students from Sheridan Intermediate School established to help their classmates and friends understand the daily dangers kids face. Kids were selected through an application process where the students had to write a paragraph on why they wanted to be a Danger Dodger. The group will meet with Deputy D monthly to discuss different safety topics. Guest speakers will be stopping by to help provide the Danger Dodgers with the tools they need to promote a safer school and community.
September Perfect Attendance
Great job to our Sheridan Intermediate School, Perfect Attendance students. We had 154 students who were present all day every day in September! Keep up the great work!
SIS Garden Harvest
Students harvested pumpkins and watermelons from the SIS garden this week! The pumpkins were part of a variety trial done through the University of Arkansas Extension Service. Students found the mass of each pumpkin. The purpose of the trail was to determine which variety grows best and has the most insect resistance.
Cookie Dough Fundraiser is Going Strong!
Reminders
- Please do not allow your students to exit your vehicle in the morning drop off-line until reach the sidewalk. For safety purposes, we want to be able to see all students as they exit cars.
- Please make sure water bottle have a secure lid, and they only have water in them.
- Please do not block the gate entry as you come into the car rider line. Please move to the far left and fill up all rows.
- Please pull all the way forward in the morning and afternoon car line. This allows more cars in the parking lot and less traffic on the street.
Attendance DOES Matter!
