A big Wildcat Welcome to all of our incoming kindergarten students for the 2024-2025 school year! We can't wait to meet you and learn all about you and your family. Our Primary staff is dedicated to providing each child with an amazing start to their academic journey in Woodland School District #50. Wildcat Welcome

March 6, 2025

5:00-6:30 p.m.

This event welcomes all of our newest wildcats to Woodland Primary. This is a fun and engaging night for your incoming kindergarten student. We will have a variety of stations set up for your child to meet other students, meet teachers, meet Wiley and more! The event runs from 5:00-6:30 p.m. and you can come anytime from 5:00-6:00. Be sure to give yourself enough time to visit all of the special stations. We can't wait to meet you!

Dual Language Lottery

Sign up for the Dual Language lottery will be open on March 6th at our Wildcat Welcome event. The lottery sign up will be available starting March 6th and run through April 14th. The lottery will happen on April 17, 2025. Come to our March 6th event to hear and learn about our Dual Language program!

K Parent Information and Teacher Panel

April 28, 2025

5:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m.

This event is for parents to attend and they would either attend the monolingual presentation or the Dual Language presentation. Specific details about each program would be shared by a teacher panel and time would be allotted to answer questions from parents.

Sneak Peek

May 17, 2025

10:00-12:00 p.m.

This event is an open-house style event that gives families a chance to walk the entire school, take a bus ride, play on the playground, meet other families and more. Additional community resources are present like the Gurnee Police Department, Gurnee Fire Department, the PTA, and Touch a Truck.

The staff at Woodland Primary School come to school each day excited to work with your child and to support your child in their development. We pride ourselves on being warm, welcoming and approachable. We work hard to build a relationship with our students to ensure that Woodland Primary is a safe learning environment.
