2. Use the "Wind and Water Shape the Land" book on the Benchmark website. Reread "The Earth Shapers" Scene 1 on pages 12-13. Read Scene 2 on pages 14-15.

• What is the setting? Underline the clues that help you picture the setting.
• Who are the characters? Underline their physical descriptions, what others say about them and words that describe how the characters act and talk.
