CHEERFAIR INFO:
Who: Girls & Boys in grades PK-5
What: Join high school cheerleaders to perform at half-time of the football game
When: Friday, October 14th
Time: 7:00 p.m. - an announcement will be made for the girls to meet at the scoreboard side of the track prior to half-time. (All participants are free to leave at the conclusion of the performance.)
Practice time: Practice will be held on Thursday, October 13th, from 3:15 - 4:30 p.m. in the BES Gym. Registration is $15.00 per student (includes the student's t-shirt)

We have been busy in Counseling this month! In class, we talked about the importance of having good manners and being polite, we discussed the important topics of bullying and tattling, and covered what it means to be responsible at school, at home, and in the community. We also had the opportunity to review and practice the following mindfulness techniques: Shoulder Roll Breathing, Take Five Breathing, Body Scan Meditation, and Square Breathing. You can expand on what we are working on in Counseling by having a conversation with your child about any of the topics we have covered and asking them to demonstrate for you one of the mindfulness techniques we did together in class!

All parents (grades Prek-5) are welcome to join Home & School! Thank you to all of the new attendees this past meeting as we had a record number of participants! The next meeting will be Tuesday, October 11 at 5:30pm in the Elementary Cafeteria.
