Student IDs
This school year we have required students to wear their student IDs on lanyards throughout the school day. We appreciate your help in reinforcing this expectation. If your student has lost their ID and/or lanyard they may come to the front office to get a replacement for a fee of $2 for the ID and $1 for a lanyard. Please see the policy below as noted in our student handbook:
All students and staff will be required to wear their ID with lanyard daily. This ID will serve as a safety protocol in the unlikely event of an emergency. The student ID is used by students to check out materials electronically from the Library Media Center. Their student ID will also be used with our electronic hall pass system with permission from the teacher to leave class.
Student Attendance
Thank you to all parents and guardians for contacting our office when your child is absent. We appreciate your communication and will gladly accept any physician notes for excused student absences. In addition to our daily attendance email/phone call, if your child becomes excessively absent, our office will mail home attendance letters to better communicate with our families. These letters will be used for excessive absences only to keep you informed. We will also be working in conjunction with the Adair County Juvenile Office to help ensure your child's success. We understand that sickness/injury, medical appointments, and family emergencies occur so please continue to call or email our front office anytime your child is absent. Please see Kirksville R-III school board policy JED-AP9(1) for more information regarding student attendance.
Fun Night March 22nd 6-8 PM
Our next Fun Night is scheduled for Friday, March 22nd 2024 from 6-8 PM. The Student Council will be selecting a theme and planning fun activities with more information to be shared soon!
