Gering Bulldog Bulletin

The end of the first quarter is upon us! Mark your calendars for parent-teacher conferences. Conferences will be held in-person with limited virtual appointments available for families with significant health concerns, upon request.

All schools are pre-scheduling conferences in an effort to decrease large crowds and also due to the positive feedback we received last year regarding pre-scheduling. School scheduling links will be shared with families next week.

Gering Preschool

Half Day Classrooms

• Monday, October 18th from 3:30pm to 7:00pm
• Tuesday, October 19th from 3:30pm to 7:00pm
• Wednesday, October 20th from 8:00am to 4:00pm

Full Day Classrooms

• Monday, October 18th from 3:30pm to 7:00pm
• Tuesday, October 19th from 3:30pm to 7:00pm
• Wednesday, October 20th from 2:30pm to 4:00pm

Geil Elementary

• Monday, October 18th from 3:30pm to 7:00pm
• Tuesday, October 19th from 3:30pm to 7:00pm

Lincoln Elementary

Gering Junior High School

• Wednesday, October 20th from 3:45pm to 6:15pm
• If you have a significant health concern and need to request a virtual conference, please contact Alisa Fulk, GJHS Secretary (308.436.3123), no later than Friday, October 8th. Limited virtual slots available.

Meeting locations:

• Teachers will be in their classrooms
• PE Teachers will be in the GJHS cafeteria

*Report cards will be handed out at each grade level entrance.*

Gering High School

• Monday, October 18th from 3:45pm to 8:15pm
• Wednesday, October 20th from 3:45pm to 6:45pm
• If you have a significant health concern and need to request a virtual conference, please contact Margaret Eckerberg, HS Secretary (308.436.3121), no later than Friday, October 8th. Limited virtual slots available.

Meeting locations:

• Teachers will be in their classrooms
• Trades teachers will be in the GHS Commons

School photos have begun! We have a few schools remaining, so please watch for photo packets making their way home soon. Below is the schedule for the remaining buildings:

Our school district, in partnership with Taher Food Service Management Company, is committed to serving quality, nutritious meals to students and staff. Like many other school districts, restaurants, and grocery stores across the nation, we too are experiencing supply chain issues and lack of delivery drivers.

This may result in a reduced number of entree choices available for breakfast or lunch and even some menu changes with little notification until supply chain issues are improved.

We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time.

If you know anyone who may be interested in joining our team as a substitute teacher or paraprofessional, please encourage them to apply online or contact HR Coordinator, Shawna Payne with any licensure questions (308.436.3125).

Gaining a Local Substitute Teacher Permit requires that you have completed at least 60 hours of college credit in an educator preparation program, and fulfill the human relations course requirement.
