Remember the Sky - Sept. 11
BCS is joining the 9/11 Memorial & Museum in Remembering the Sky. Each year as we commemorate the anniversary of the day that changed our world forever, you are encouraged to Remember the Sky. Here's how you can participate: Simply post a photo of the sky wherever in the world you are on September 11, 2023 — regardless of the weather.

FREE Virtual Tutoring Starts Monday Sept. 11th
FREE virtual tutoring is available in Math, Science, English (Reading and Language Arts), and Social Studies for ALL BCS K-12 students Monday-Thursday from 5-7 pm by appointment. Tutoring sessions are approximately 30 minutes.
Please complete the form below and you will be contacted via email on your requested day prior to 5 p.m. with the information for your tutoring session. One of our tutors will call the number you provide between the hours of 5 - 7 p.m. Please be sure you select a date that you are available and able to attend. Also note that you will not have the tutor for the full 2 hours.
Go Gold for Childhood Cancer on Sept. 13
BCS will observe a state-wide proclamation being issued by Governor Jim Justice on Sept. 13 designating September as Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Please join your school community in wearing GOLD on Wednesday, September 13 to encourage support for our families experiencing the battle with childhood cancer.

Berkeley County Diversity Council Meeting - Sept. 19th
The Berkeley County Diversity Council invites you to attend their virtual monthly meeting provided via Zoom from 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm on Tuesday, September 19th. Please bring your enthusiasm, energy and willingness to provide ideas and activities to help support ALL students of Berkeley County Schools.

Bullying Prevention Community Event-Sept. 21st
Bring your family to War Memorial Park on Thursday, September 21st for our Annual Bullying Prevention Community Wide Kick Off Event. Entertainment will be provided by a live local band and school performances.
Join us from 5Pm-7PM for FREE food and lots of family fun as we strive to promote positivity, create community connections and spread kindness! There will be free pizza, chips and water, giveaways, face-painting, balloons, entertainment and more!
