October 2023
MESSAGE FROM OUR PRINCIPAL
Wow! I cannot believe it is the end of the first nine weeks. As we bid farewell to the warm summer days and embrace the crisp, autumn air, it's time to reflect on the incredible journey of the first nine weeks of this school year. It's been a period of discovery, growth, and adaptation. Clemson Elementary excelled during the quarter from new grade levels to new administration.
We are immensely proud of our students and educators for their dedication and hard work during this first quarter. In the classroom, students have been actively engaged in their classrooms. We've implemented a new discipline matrix with T.I.G.E.R.S. and our students are following through like champions!
One of the key highlights from this quarter was our school's Walk and Roll to School Day, where our families walked and biked to school. The turnout was absolutely amazing! I was told it was a huge event, and the Clemson family did not disappoint me.
We have a great event on the horizon. On October 5, we will have our House of Literacy Night. This event is an open house and literacy night wrapped into one event. We are excited to see some of the wonderful pieces of literacy our students have created in the first nine weeks. We are also excited to welcome an excellent author, Jonathan Miller, to Clemson. He will be sharing his books. Mr. Miller is from Charleston, SC, and has a unique approach as an author.
The first nine weeks were a journey we all can be proud of. As we continue into the school year, I remind you we encourage parents and guardians to stay involved in their children's education. Open lines of communication between home and school are essential for the success of our students. We all have the same goal: helping our children become their best!
Be Great!
