Upcoming Dates

The beginning of the school year is busy! Here is a list of some important upcoming events:

September 2-16: Fall laundry fundraiser.

September 15: Pajama Day! Bring 50 cents to wear pajamas to school.

September 20: After school tutoring begins.

Tuesday, October 4: Laundry fundraiser item pickup in the elem cafeteria from 3:30 - 6:00 pm.

Laundry Soap Fundraiser

Our parent volunteer group does a laundry fundraiser twice per year. This allows families to sell bulk laundry items for a low cost option. The funds raised are used by the parent group to help with field trips, end of year rewards, and teacher supplies. Paperwork about the fundraiser is coming home today. Money and forms are due Friday, September 16th. Items should be picked up on October 4th from 3:30-6pm in the elementary cafeteria.

Extra Yearbooks

We have extra 2021-22 yearbooks available for $15 each. Send a check or cash in a sealed envelope labeled "yearbook" to purchase one.

Routines

When so much feels out of our children's control, it’s helpful to create some predictability where we can, even in small ways. That kind of predictability makes kids feel safe. It helps them know what to expect and what’s expected of them.

Routines also make parenting easier. Parents make hundreds of decisions every day, which is exhausting. (Especially if your kids are budding negotiators!) Routines can take some of those decisions and debates off your hands. That’s especially helpful when we need to stay aware to make good choices that keep our kids safe and healthy.

Girl Scout Recruitment Night

Anyone interested in more information about joining Girl Scouts may come for a Girl Scout Sign Up night Sept.13th, starting at 6pm in the elementary cafeteria.

Boy Scout Info

Information on signing your child up for boy scouts will be coming home TODAY. If you do not receive a flyer and are interested, contact the elementary office.

Soaring Eagles Tryouts

All 4th-6th grade students are able to tryout for Soaring Eagles choir club on Thursday, Sept 8th after school until 4:30. Soaring eagles is a choir group that meets after school once per week. There are also opportunities to perform at school music concerts and a competition at Six Flags later in the year.

Students must return a signed permission slip in order to tryout. Permission slips are being sent home with all 4th graders today, or print one using this link: https://bit.ly/3BiRjdf
