Academic and Mental Health Supports for Students
Tutoring
A staff member is available before and after school in the library to assist students with homework, organization, and study skills. Drop-in peer tutoring is also available during these times.
Math and Writing Labs
During the school day, students can access the Math or Writing Lab for assistance with classwork, college essays, and more.
Counseling
In addition to meetings with their school counselor, students can access our at-risk intervention specialist, school adjustment counselors, and social worker for individual counseling.
Community Outreach Counselors
Our community outreach counselors are available to assist students and families with accessing services in the community including, but not limited to, food and clothing resources, counseling, and more.

Featured Scholarships & Opportunities
* All featured scholarships & opportunities can be found in the special opportunities hub linked above!
1. Stephen Phillips Memorial Scholarship - A scholarship of between $2,500 and $25,000 based on student financial need and strong academic performance, community involvement, and mature nature. Award is renewable for up to four years of undergraduate study
2. Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholarship - A comprehensive four year program where students receive a $35,000 scholarship along with career guidance, internship opportunities, and leadership experience
3. AFCEA Fellowship Award - A $1,500 scholarship and the opportunity for a ten week internship where students earn up to an additional $570 a week. Designed to help foster interest and involvement in the STEM fields.
Special Opportunities
1. Northeastern University Accelerate Pre-College Programs - Summer courses at Northeastern University where students gain hands on experience in a variety of subjects from the universities world renowned faculty.
2. CIEE Summer Abroad Program - A program for students who are looking to spend their summer studying abroad. This organization collaborates with international colleges and universities to offer programs at over 30 locations around the world
3. Carnegie Mellon Summer Pre-College Programs - Juniors and seniors have the opportunity to live and study at this prestigious university during the summer. A variety of courses and subjects are offered, some of which are free!
