- Welcome Back Book Fair! October 18th-20th during Parent-Teacher Conferences on the 5th St Gym Stage. More info to come.
- Halloween Parade: Our Halloween parade will be outside this year, weather pending, on Friday, October 29. We will use the same route as last year, and we will stager the times like last year. 4th grade is at 12:45, 3rd is at 1:00, 2nd is at 1:15, 1st is at 1:30, and Kindergarten is at 1:45. After the parade, parents taking their child(ren) are asked to Seesaw their child's teacher to sign them out.
- Veterans Day: We are celebrating veterans day this year. Please have your child wear red, white, or blue on Thursday, November 11. Also, see the details below about our Veteran's Day slideshow.
- Water Bottles: Please continue to send your child to school with a water bottle. The school will supply your student with water, but please try and encourage your child to bring their water bottle to help us conserve the number of water bottles distributed each day. Thank you!
- Cold Weather: Cold weather is coming! Please have your child properly dressed for outside recess!
- Doors open at 8:20, and Dismissal is at 3:10
- Drop-off Lane: Parents/Guardians! Please don't leave your vehicle in the drop-off lane, and please pull forward to allow other vehicles to enter. This WILL help the flow of traffic.
- Parents are strongly encouraged not to contact the office after 2:30 PM to have their child picked up unless of an emergency. The office is busy after 2:30, and it may be challenging to accommodate parents' requests.
- Visitors: Visitors will not be allowed to enter the building this year.
- Please be sure to contact the office and get the proper paperwork for any Medication disbursement or food modification forms for the kitchen. Medication can not be given without paperwork from the school signed by the physician, and this includes Epi-pens and inhalers as well as prescribed and non-prescribed medication. The kitchen cannot accommodate any food modifications without the form from the school filled out by a physician as well.
- PTO: The PTO (parent-teacher organization) is looking for new parent recruits who want to be a part of a great group to enhance the school experience for all students! Please get in touch with Mr. Katona if you're interested in joining! Our next meeting will be on Tuesday, November 2, at 6:30 PM in the Elementary Library. The doors on Maple Street will be open at 6:15 PM.
- If you are a remote learner and would like school pictures, please contact the Elementary office at 231-824-6413 opt. 4.
- PTO Craft Show: Our annual PTO Craft Show will be on Saturday, December 4! Check out the Manton PTO Facebook page for more information!
