Prayer
Reflection
What was the best part of last week? How can you replicate that this week?
Humility
The Virtue of Humility
Also known as: Humbleness
DEFINITION OF HUMILITYAwareness that all our gifts come from God and appreciation for the gifts of others
PRAYER FOR HUMILITY:Dear Jesus, You said, “Learn from Me, for I am meek and humble of heart” (Matthew 11:29). You are God, yet You became little out of love for me. I desire to become little for love of You. Help me to be honest about my strengths and weaknesses.
HUMILITY LOOKS LIKE:- Taking time for prayer; particularly a prayer of gratitude
Jesus, thank you for all the blessings you have given me.

Learning Intentions & Success Criteria
Learning Intentions & Success Criteria Examples - see full site here.
We are learning about the structure of an atom, specifically to know about:
- The sub-atomic particles which make up atoms
Possible success criteria are:
- I can draw a labelled diagram of an atom, showing the arrangement of the three sub-atomic particles which make it up
- I can state the charge of each of the sub-atomic particles
- I can state the mass of each of the sub-atomic particles
Sometimes, rather than writing success criteria as ‘I can’ statements, they are better written as ‘key features’. This tends to be when they relate to ‘Be able to…’ learning intentions. For example, a learning intention might be:
- Be able to present data in a table
Success criteria could be that:
- It has two columns
- Each column has an appropriate heading
- Each heading has correct units
- The data has been entered correctly
- It has been drawn with a ruler
To help corral some of that pent-up energy between now and the break, teachers might:
- Maintain your classroom structure
- Acknowledge the upcoming holiday
- Provide plenty of opportunities for movement
- Plan a holiday-themed group project
- Keep your pacing and don’t overcrowd the schedule
- Continue to teach
- Give them some downtime
- Keep yourself well rested and organized

“And what I say to you I say to all: Keep awake!” –Mark 13:37. How easy it is to forget or disregard our impact on the environment! This week, “stay awake” and reflect on specific ways to decrease your negative effects on the environment. Could you bike or walk somewhere instead of driving? Could you bring a re-usable water bottle so you don’t have to buy one? As uncomfortable as it may be, stay awake to the choices you make which hurt our common home.
