Principal's Message
Dear Niton Central School Community,
On November 10, all students observed Remembrance Day in their classrooms; this included all classes watching our Remembrance Day video at 11 am.
This next week is a 4-day week with school resuming on Tuesday, November 16. We also have White Hatter presentations that day and Thursday. Please see your emails for permission forms in order for your student to participate.
The Knights have their final tournament during GYAC hosted by the Edson schools on November 17, 2021. Spectators are not allowed and only the games played at Parkland are livestreamed. Go Knights! We are taking a short break and then will be starting up basketball. Interested students in JH should see our athletic director, Mrs. Maskell to sign-up.
Wishing everyone a great fall break and I'll see our students on Tuesday!

White Hatter Cyber Safety Presentations November 16 and November 18
As the presentations in grade 6 - 12 INCLUDES the topic of sexting, and ALL presentations including 4/5 have an opportunity for students to ask questions where sexting may come up during discussion, we are asking for parental permission for students to attend.
Parents/Guardians were emailed Permission Slips through a Google Form sent via Messenger. Here are links to specific content covered in the presentations.

UPDATED Parent Guide to Covid-19
There was some confusion regarding the Board Chair’s Letter surrounding Covid-19 isolation and vaccines. The letter states if there is a positive case of COVID in your household, no one from that household is allowed to enter a school or ride a bus until the mandatory isolation period has expired. In addition, the Board Policy on vaccinations is in relation to GYPSD staff, contractors and volunteers. This does not apply to students as there are no mandatory vaccinations, of any kind, for students attending GYPSD Schools. Please call the school if you have any questions and I will be happy to discuss this with you.
Home Room Teachers
To arrange to meet your student's teacher or if you have questions concerning the classroom, please email the teacher directly or call the school at 780-795-3782 and leave a message with our secretary who will have the teacher call you back.
