Greetings Brethren,

I hope that this newsletter finds you all doing well and staying safe.

I would like to thank everyone who came out and attended the Forum & Exam on 3 October at Morton Lodge. We had 28 Brothers in attendance and 12 Brothers sat for esoteric certificates. Congratulations to those Brothers who earned or renewed their certificate!

I would also like to thank everyone who attended the final MWSA meeting of 2020 at Rosenberg Lodge on 27 October. We had a great presentation and education with the Briscoe Workshop, gained information on the Grotto, and held our elections for the 2021 MWSA officers. Congratulations to the MWSA leadership team for 2021:

Lastly, I hope that you all remain safe as we continue enjoying some of the activities that help strengthen our bonds as Masons with Stated Meetings, Called Meetings, and study groups happening around our District. Let us ever remember that our obligations, shared experiences, and common belief in the betterment of mankind through the lessons of Masonry are what allow us to work in peace and harmony in and out of our Lodges.

Our Centennial Event will take place on Saturday, November 14, 2020, at 7 PM. The event is a public event to celebrate our 100 years and will take place at the Imperial Sugar Factory where our lodge started. The event location is at the Sugar Land Heritage Foundation at 198 Kempner St. Bldg B, Sugar Land, TX 77498. Due to COVID guidelines, the event will be a no meal event and limited to 125 people. If you would like to come to the event, please purchase a ticket for $10/attendee.

We ask that you pay your tickets upfront by sending the money in or come to the lodge to pay. All tickets will be available to be picked up at the lodge anytime before the event or at the event.

Morton Lodge has completed the third edition of the book on its history. Copies maybe purchased from Worshipful Master Davis for $20.

Come and join us for Study Nights on Mondays at Morton Lodge #72 and Wednesdays at Rosenberg Lodge #881 from 5:30 to 8:30. During both nights, we are currently concentrating on performing the EA Degree to keep up on our esoteric skills and knowledge. Monday night is led by Brother Eric Beane and Rosenberg night is led by Brother John Bradley and Proctored by Brother Cody Cockroft, District Instructor #108. Hope to see you there. Imperial Chapter, Order of DeMolay was set to work on Saturday 31 August 2019. DeMolay is a wonderful organization for young men from 12-21 years of age. It strives to teach virtues and help young men grow into responsible and committed members of society.

The following degrees have been scheduled in our District:

• Morton Lodge No. 72 will be conferring a Fellow Craft Degree on Saturday 21 November 2020. The gavel will drop at 0930 am. This is a tentative date and time. Will update asap.

Please work to keep your Lodge's Google Calendar that is linked to the District #108 Google Calendar up-to-date. With everyone's calendar up-to-date, Brothers from other Lodges will be able to plan to attend more events and meetings around our District. This will take some work on the part of whoever controls the individual Lodge's Google Calendar, but it will be well worth the time investment.
