Galileo Middle School families have the opportunity to go on a trip to Montreal & Quebec the summer of 2025! If you're in grades 5th-7th right now you are eligible to join us!

The Wahooz Fit for Fun program is designed to add fun to fitness, and to reward students for setting a goal and achieving it. Galileo grades K-6 students can print out the Fit for Fun Student Fitness Log (see attached) and turn it in to Mr. Fulwood by Friday, December 1, 2023, to receive a free Wahooz 4-Hour Ultimate Unlimited ticket. This ticket includes Ropes Course, Ballocity, Clip ‘n Climb, Twister, Frog Hopper, Bumper Cars, XD Dark Ride, Laser Maze, Laser Tag, Go-karts, Mini Golf, Bumper Boats (when open), Bowling and $5 Game Band ($39.99 Value!) Tickets expire December 31, 2024, no exceptions.

A former Galileo student is conducting research for their senior project. Their topic is how students with food allergens are affected through school provided meals. This student is asking for parents to complete the following survey to collect data for the project. It is 100% anonymous and parents may choose to withdrawal their consent at any time. The data will be deleted as soon as the presentation is completed. The student needs the data before an upcoming deadline, so to participate, this survey must be completed before February 4th. Friday, November 10th, 2:30 - 4:00 pm * We are proud to host a Veteran's Day Celebration for any veterans and people currently enlisted in the military who are related to Galileo students and their families. MIDDLE SCHOOL EVENT Bingo & Badminton

Thursday, November 16th, 6:00 – 7:30 pm * Prizes will be awarded during many of the bingo games. Pizza, soda, water, and Rice Krispies will be provided. STAFF APPRECIATION & *New* Teacher Appreciation Raffles

Friday, November 17th * Join us in spreading love and appreciation to our amazing staff! The Galileo PTO, with the support of parents and families, will be providing a Baked Potato Bar. Click here to find out how you can get involved!

DIRECTORY Request

Every year the Galileo PTO creates a printed directory to help families connect (for personal use and not for advertising or mass communications). If you would like to receive a directory, please fill out our Directory Request Form by Friday, November 10th. For more details, please check out the information on our PTO website.

CHESS CLUB There's still time to join!

Who: The Galileo Chess Club is open to all students, Kindergarten through 8th grade. Any skill level is welcome to join! We welcome students who have never played chess to advanced players.

What: The club includes instruction, playing time, and additional opportunities to formally compete.

When: Every Wednesday 8:45 - 9:20 am before school in the cafeteria

Cost: $30 to enroll for the year

Dogs are wonderful companions but are not kind to our turf. Dogs are not allowed on the turf and please clean up your dog's mess when taking them on a walk on school grounds.

Idaho Exhibition of Ideas (IDX) a 3-D print fabrication competitive team will meet for 10 weeks designing and competing with other Southwest Idaho teams at the annual tournament on February 23rd. Our theme this year is Veterinary Science! We will be meeting on Wednesdays from 4 PM to 5 PM starting November 8th. Watch the PTO's website for applications to open.

In an effort to keep our students safe and our campus secure, we ask that you please close the gate behind you when you enter the school grounds using the walking path.

Please help us be good neighbors by respecting neighbors' driveways and access as you park near Galileo. Also, please don't park and leave your car unattended in a line that is moving. If you need to leave your car unattended, use one of the parking spots in the main parking lot.

Please remember that Galileo is a closed campus from 8:15-4:30. This includes the walking path and playground areas. Visitors who haven't checked into the office will be asked to check in or to leave campus.

Please check the lost and found for any missing items each Friday. Leftover items will be donated periodically.

Students are not to be dropped off prior to these times as there is no supervision for students until the times designated.

If you are planning a vacation and your student will be absent three or more days please fill out the notification of absence form found here. This form does not excuse the absences, but will help keep everyone informed.
