Meadow Hall Staff Newsletter
Week of December 4
December 4 - December 8
We have some exciting events this week! Our Winter Concert assembly on Monday (in the gym @ 2pm) and the actual concert that evening (at Rockville High School @ 7pm).
I would very much appreciate if all staff members could complete the linked survey for my AP2 year. I appreciate your feedback to learn and grow as an Assistant Principal. ALL Staff, please take a few minutes to complete. There is also an option of "not applicable" so if you feel something doesn't apply to you, that's ok! You will still be able to respond to the survey.
Winter Concert
Monday, December 4th is our Winter Concert! We will have a school-wide assembly in the gym at 2pm on Monday 12/4 as a preview to the concert. This will serve as a both a rehearsal for those in instrumental music and chorus and also give a chance for all students and staff to see what they have accomplished so far!
4th and 5th graders performing will meet Ms. Rey and Maestro at 1:45pm in the gym to be ready for the performance.
Meadow Hall Bake Off

Where: Room 35
What: Bake at least 2 dozen cookies, brownies, bars, etc. or just come and eat and drink to your heart’s content.

December Equity Books
The December equity books are in rotation. The focus is on Self-Acceptance. Please read the book to your class and then pass it to the next teacher on the list as soon as you are finished. Our A team would love an invitation to join a homeroom class when you do the read aloud. Please consider reaching out to them to schedule a time to buddy up.
Please be sure to return the September, October and November equity books to Mrs. Bartee.
Grades K-2
Recipient of a Coretta Scott King Illustrator Honor Award
Recipient of an NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Children’s Literary Work
From Academy Award–winning actress Lupita Nyong’o comes a powerful, moving picture book about colorism, self-esteem, and learning that true beauty comes from within.
Grades 3-5
Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor and award-winning artist Rafael Lopez create a kind and caring book about the differences that make each of us unique.
Feeling different, especially as a kid, can be tough. But in the same way that different types of plants and flowers make a garden more beautiful and enjoyable, different types of people make our world more vibrant and wonderful.
Virtual Learning Day
As winter approaches, we need to prepare for the possibility of a Virtual Learning "snow day". All staff delivering instruction to students, please create a zoom link to use in case we need it.
