Two varsity baseball players will sign their National Letter of Intent to play college baseball Tuesday May 29th, at 2:45 at the Raymond E. Curtis Field. James Moreno and Adam Williams, Weatherford High seniors, are pleased to be advancing to college baseball. Moreno has committed to the East Central Oklahoma University Tigers while Williams joins the North Lake College Blazers.

In a recent contest to collect donations for Cook's Children's Hospital, the Blue Belles collected the most money and were rewarded with a field trip to the hospital with the SCRUBS club, who hosted the donation drive.

The CTE Awards Ceremony was held on May 10th in the Durant Auditorium. We are so proud of all of the students that have worked so hard this year! Be sure to check out the CTE News Page to see pictures of the event.

Spring Concert was a Great Success-

The WHS Bands had a fantastic performance in their Spring Concert on Tuesday May 22nd. Students performed some audience favorites like Take on Me, The Incredibles, and Stars and Stripes Forever. The students also paid respects for the loss of Roo Band member Kaylee Montgomery by placing flowers in her spot for the concert. She will be greatly missed and our hearts go out to all those effected by her passing.

Directors would like to thank the students for a job well done this year, and wish the seniors success in their plans after HS. The Band Directors would also like to show gratitude for the Parents and Boosters for their continued support of the Roo Bands program as well as a final acknowledgement for the Administration for all their assistance and support of our program this year.

Catholic Charities are offering a scholarship for students planning to attend Weatherford College. This scholarship is based on financial need and twenty five scholarships are being given to pay for tuition. Students will need to submit two references, two essays, a transcript, and confirmation of the FAFSA application. Everyone who applies will get a personal interview. Applications are available in the Counseling Center; the deadline to apply is June 29.
