Second trimester grades will be available to be viewed on Sunday, March 23rd. To view your student's grades, log into the MiStar Parent Portal and use the "Marks" tab. If you are unable to view your student's grades, please contact the 5th or 6th grade office.

Dear Novi Public Schools 6th Graders,

Are you interested in Joining the Novi Middle School Pompon team? Please join us for our Novi Pompon Conditioning Sessions! These conditioning practices will serve as an opportunity to learn more about the sport including pom form, jumps, kicks, and choreography. We look forward to seeing you at our last Conditioning this Wednesday at the following location:

· Session 1 – Wednesday, March 13th 4-6pm at the Novi High School Dance Room

· Session 2 – Wednesday, March 20th 4-6pm at the Novi High School Dance Room

· Session 3 – Wednesday, March 27th 4-6pm at the Novi High School Dance Room

By joining these sessions, you will learn the skills needed to try out for our great Middle School pompon team! Please note that attendance at any or all conditioning sessions is NOT required for consideration on a pompon team and will not negatively impact your opportunity to join a team.

Novi Meadows Spring Scholastic Book Fair will be on the 5th Grade side from March 22nd through March 25th! Join us during conferences and the science fair on the evening of Wednesday, March 27th. Novi is proud to provide high quality FOSS Science curriculum to every child grades K-6. Students can access digital science materials from home using the FOSSweb system. Follow the steps below to access the materials.

1. Go to https://www.fossweb.com/home

2. Click on the Class/Student Login tab on the middle of the page.

3. Enter the Class Login and Username provided by your child’s teacher

4. Click on the FOSS Module of your child’s current science unit to access tutorials, virtual investigations, and ebooks.

Please note that the FOSSweb site can be slow during times when there are a high volume of users.

The Meadows 5th Grade MakerSpace is now taking donations for Duct Tape. Any half-used rolls of any color/design you might have laying around the house are welcome. Please see the Library Media webpage for other random items on our MakerSpace Wishlist: http://www.novi.k12.mi.us/nm/nmmc/makerspaces/

We believe that learning responsibility is an important aspect of learning an instrument. We ask that parents refrain from dropping off instruments that have been forgotten at home. Digital copies of practice calendars are available at our website under Band and Orchestra in the menu.

Students who are being picked up for an appointment during the school day are called down to the Office when the parent arrives at Meadows. Kindly note that it is difficult to call a student down to the Office after 2:45pm because we are preparing for dismissal and buses are arriving. Thank you for your cooperation.
