UIL students in grades 2–5 competed in the UIL A+ Academics District Meet on Friday, January 19th at Griffis Elementary in Caddo Mills. There were 5 school represented and Sunnyvale came home champions! We are very proud of all the hard work the coaches and students put into our UIL academic program!

There is a new music group starting in February, The Sunnyvale Orffestra! :) The new music group will consist of playing Orff instruments, recorders, and drums. Practices will be on Tuesdays after school with auditions in January. If interested, students will need to turn in their paperwork by Friday, January 26th, and sign-up for an audition time through the sign-up genius link

Tickets must be purchased ahead of time on the Sunnyvale PTA website. Only 1 ticket is needed per household. PTA member price $45/family. Non PTA member $55/family. Sales end Feb 9th at 6pm.

PTA is looking for donations for Special Olympics. All donations must be turned in to the SHS front office by February 13th!
