Monthly Buzz

It is hard to believe we are already in the 2nd nine weeks of school! Please remember you play a vital role in your child’s success at school. You can help by asking your child about his/her day, having a positive attitude about learning, and reading to or with your child every night. You would be amazed what 20 minutes of reading with your child each night will do for his/her language development, problem solving skills, self-regulation, and reading skills.

As the cold weather settles in, we see an increase in the incidence of illness. Please remember the following when your child is ill:

· Children should be fever free with no fever reducing medicine for 24 hours before returning to school.

· If your child is sick, please keep them home.

· Remind your child to cover their coughs and sneezes, and to wash their hands often.

If you have any questions about when your child should come to school when they are ill, please contact the school.

For your child’s safety, please make sure anyone picking up your child from school has their picture ID with them.
