We want to celebrate your next steps! Graduation caps and gowns will be distributed as well.
College Signing Day is a national celebration of all high school seniors and transfer students, especially those from low-income, underrepresented, and first-generation college-going backgrounds who have committed to pursuing higher education —
whether at a community college, a four-year college or university, or a professional training program, or by joining the military.
We need your help to send our #proudcardinal Class of 2022
off to college with what they need for success!

Varsity Softball
Last week, the Varsity Softball team competed in their first game of the season! They played Capac and that being said, they unfortunately lost but can learn from the experience in hopes of beating teams next time. For the first game, Dryden lost 1-3 where Addie Tresnak went 1 for 3 with one stolen base and one run scored. Madison Maday went 1 for 3 with 1 RBI. Lola Abromaitis went 1 for 2 and had one stolen base.
For the second game, Dryden lost 1-11. Avery Grondin went 1 for 3 with 1 RBI, Becca Weiss went 1 for 3, Addie Tresnak went 1 for 3, and Lola Abromaitis went 1 for 3. Good luck ladies at your next game!
Varsity Baseball
On Friday, April 15, the Dryden Varsity Baseball team faced the wind and the Capac team. They split the doubleheader, winning the first game 3-1 and losing the second 11-10.
The first game saw Dylan Ledford get the win. He pitched 5 strong innings, giving up 2 hits, 1 earned run, and striking out 15 Capac batters. Zack Lemke had two hits, and Dylan Ledford and Charlie Fliedner added one each. Dylan Ledford and Mason Stofcheck had one walk each. Batted in by Zack Lemke, Mason Stofcheck, and Charlie Fliedner, runs were scored by Zack Lemke, Tommy Giles, and Joe Breeding. Bases were stolen by Charlie Fliedner and Dylan Ledford.
The wind continued through the second game. Zack Lemke was on the mound, pitching four and one-third innings while striking out 13 Capac batters. Getting hits this time around were Mason Stofcheck (3, including a Double), Dylan Ledford and Zack Lemke (2 each), and Sonny Coscione and Charlie Fliedner (1 each). Joe Breeding, Dylan Ledford, and Owen Gall had one walk each. Runs were scored by Dylan Ledford (3); Mason Stofcheck (2); Zack Lemke, Sonny Coscione, Charlie Fliedner, Joe Breeding, and Owen Gall (1 each). They were batted in by
Dylan Ledford and Mason Stofcheck (2 each); Zack Lemke, Joe Breeding, and Michael Hickmott (1 each). Joe Breeding (1) and Dylan Ledford (2) had stolen bases.
The Cardinals are scheduled to face Akron-Fairgrove this afternoon.
Varsity Soccer
On Monday, April 11, the Imlay City/Dryden girls Soccer team traveled to Algonac to play against Algonac High School’s girls soccer team. The Imlay City/Dryden Girls Soccer team worked very hard and achieved a winning score of 2-1. The two goals were scored by Mary Kaminiski and were both assisted by Jessica Peters. The Imlay City/Dryden goalie, Ashley Hickmott, made 14 saves throughout the game. The Imlay City/ Dryden girls soccer coach, Greg Johnson, gave feedback on the play, stating: “(the whole team made an) impressive defensive effort”. Great job on the win girls!
On Tuesday, April 12, the Imlay City/Dryden girls soccer team played Harbor Beach’s girls soccer team at home. The Imlay City/Dryden girls soccer team worked very hard throughout the game, although Harbor Beach won the game 3-1. The Imlay City/Dryden goal was scored by Jessica Peters and was assisted by Natalie Miller. The Imlay City/Dryden goalie, Ashley Hickmott, made a total of 13 saves throughout the game. Great job girls, and keep working hard!
On Thursday, April 15, the Imlay City/Dryden girls soccer team played Richmond at home. The girls soccer team worked very hard, although Richmond unfortunately won 3-2 in the close game. One of Imlay City/Dryden’s goals was made by Wren Dennis and the other goal was made by Mary Kaminiski; both goals were assisted by Skylar Graham. Imlay City/Dryden’s goalie, Ashley Hickmott, made 9 saves throughout the game. Imlay City/Dryden’s next girls soccer game is on Monday, April 18, at home against Almont High School. Great job and good luck girls!
Varsity Girls Track

This past Tuesday, Varsity Girls Track raced at the Deckerville Quad Meet. They placed 3rd overall with a total of 91 points. Delaney Wolle placed 1st in the 200 with a time of 31.14 and Olivia Stickler placed 1st in the 400 with a time of 1:07.06. Sophia Peter also placed 1st in the 300 hurdles with a time of 55.37. At this meet, we had a lot of 2nd place finishes, including Keira Miller in the 100 with a time of 15.5, Lily Finnigan in the 3200 with a time of 15:04.25, Sophia Peter in the 110 hurdles with a time of 19.75, the 4x200 relay (Delaney Wolle, Sophia Peter, Keira Miller, Olivia Stickler) with a time of 1:59.39, and the 4x400 relay (Delaney Wolle, Keira Miller, Sophia Peter, Olivia Stickler) with a time of 4:41.63. Keira Miller also placed 3rd in the 200 with a time of 33.16. Ava DeVlaminck threw 76' 10 in Discus resulting in 3rd place overall.
Boys Varsity Track
On Tuesday the 12th, Varsity Boys Track attended a Quad Meet at Deckerville. They placed 3rd overall with 67 total points. Aiden Fitchett placed 1st in both the 800 and 1600. His 800 time was 2:21.50, and his 1600 time was 5:08.32. Matthew Hickmott placed 2nd in the 110 hurdles with a time of 22.53. Michael Stickler placed 2nd in the 100 with a time of 12.98 as well as 3rd in the 200 with a time of 27.16. Noah Hall ran a 13:02.01 in the 3200 resulting in a 3rd place finish.
