Thank you to the many families that came out and celebrated Halloween festivities with us on Tuesday. Our students loved having the party and the parade! We also appreciate all of the families that visited with our staff for conferences. Research is very clear- the more aligned and connected teachers and families are the more successful our students will be. Thus, we so appreciate all of the involvement from our families. A few notes and reminders of upcoming events:

• Survey from Conferences- As a part of our school improvement process we are continually seeking feedback so we can continue to strengthen Berryton Elementary. Thus, I ask that each family take a few minutes and complete the survey directly below.

• Staff Wishlists for the Holidays- I have spent time visiting with our PTO and received feedback that families have appreciated the electronic lists that detailed specific wish lists items for teachers in past years. Thus, we will again share an electronic list that parents can utilize when doing holiday shopping for BES staff. Please note this is entirely voluntary and simply a tool for interested families. I will share this list on 11/22.

• Site Council- Buffalo families are invited to apply to be part of our Site Council. Site Council meetings provide parents with more information regarding school policies and happenings, and it also allows for dialogue regarding things happening at Berryton and Shawnee Heights collectively. If interested check out the link below.

• Veteran's Day Parade- We are exciting to welcome all veterans to BES on 11/11 at 2 pm for a drive-thru parade. If you have a loved one attending please take a second and RSVP for your veteran.

As an elementary principal I enjoy working collaboratively with staff members to support student learning. I am passionate about continuing to learn professionally, and building relationships with staff and students at Berryton Elementary. When I'm not serving at Berryton Elementary I am usually with my husband and two sons. We can be found at sporting events, cheering on Kansas State University, or just enjoying a movie at home.
