Add FUN ST Math practice to your shark's at-home routine!
Are you interested in helping your child grow their math skills and conceptual understanding? Your sharks currently access ST Math during the school day, but did you know they can also do it at home? This is a sharktastic way to increase your child's mathematical prowess in a fun and engaging game-like, safe, educational manner. Click here to learn more about ST Math.
My biggest tip is to NOT give your child the answers - the productive struggle is a natural, desired part of solving the puzzles to help JiJi the Penguin make it through each puzzle - and that is where the magic happens! If you see your child struggling, that is a GOOD THING! To help your child get "unstuck," ask your child questions that help your child stick with the problem-solving process (see photo below).
Click on the links below to learn how your child can access ST Math at home.
Please contact your child's teacher if you have any further questions about ST Math.
Thank you for your support!

Donations for our PBIS Program
Sierra's Tier I PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports) teacher team is the team partly responsible for the awesome positive culture at Sierra and ensuring we have ways to promote and acknowledge the positive learning and prosocial behavior (our S.W.I.M. expectations) that they need to succeed in school. Currently, your sharks get to save up Shark Shoutouts to earn rewards in class or in our "Shark Shop," and our team is looking to expand reward options. If you would like to help with this, we are seeking donations of gift certificates and/or $5 gift cards. Examples of gift certificates include free frozen yogurt, kids' meals, etc. $5 gift cards to Starbucks, Dutch Bros, Crumbl, Chik-fil-A, etc. would be appreciated, too! Donations can be turned in to the school office to the attention of the PBIS Team.
THANK YOU!
