What’s Up Wednesday?

Perhaps Mother Nature has heard our prayers and the Pacific Northwest has been given a reprieve from the torrential rains. What seemed like 2 straight weeks of April showers have given way to the gorgeous green grass and daffodils. The boys and I took a walk today, the first in about 2 weeks, and the 50 degrees certainly felt lovely.

My family has big plans for this summer, including 2 graduations, finally completing our deck, spending lots of time at our 2nd home in Eastern Washington, hired to complete a kitchen remodel, sending a kid off to college ... so many fun things!

I met my good friend Mary while volunteering at a reception at our church hall. She came and stood by me during the drinking and dancing and said in her perfect Jersey accent “so, who are we going to laugh at first?” I knew we’d be fast friends!

Mary is a master seamstress who spends part of her time doing custom bridal gown alterations and the other part planning elaborate vacations as a travel agent out of her home. These are her retirement years, but she keeps herself busy when she’s not traveling for leisure.

We have teamed up for bridal fittings and she now has a mini Chloe + Isabel bridal jewelry display in her alterations room.
