🎃 Parent - Teacher Conferences 🎃

Parent/Teacher Conferences are coming up this week! We are excited to see everyone on Thursday, October 27, from 2-8 PM. This is a great opportunity to see how your child is doing this school year, discuss STAR reading and math testing, check in on IXL progress, and develop a plan for improving any attribute scores on their report card.


Report cards come home today with each child. Be sure to check their backpacks, have conversations around their progress, and sign the envelope before returning it to school.


As we await the final copy of the Human Sexuality policy from the Archdiocese, please send any questions you have about it to me. I would prefer the teachers not have to answer questions about it since they have not yet seen it. We have been told the final copy will be available to share with our communities before Christmas Break.

✝️ All Saints vs. All Souls Days 🧟‍♀️

November 1 is All Saints Day, a holy day of obligation. We invite all of you to join us for an all school mass at 2:00 PM. On this day we celebrate all of the saints and the fact is, everyone in heaven is a saint. The Catholic Church has officially recognized the sanctity of many saints and we have confidence they are in heaven because the Church as proclaimed it. So on this day we celebrate them AND those we are hopeful are in heaven too (our saintly old neighbor, our grandma who prayed the rosary every day, etc.).


November 2 is All Souls Day (Commemoration of the Faithful Departed). As Christians, we believe that the dead are not gone, their bodies have died but their souls live on forever. If our love for God has been perfected in this life, we will be taken straight to heaven. If we rejected God's love by mortal sin and died without repenting, we will be sent to hell (not recommended). God is merciful, so He wouldn't send souls who love Him to hell. But He is also just, and a soul who loves God imperfectly cannot justly enter heaven. So we need a third option: purgatory.

Class Halloween Parties! 👻 🎃 🍭

Thank you in advance to ALL of our room parents for organizing our Halloween classroom parties for each homeroom. Each student is to come to school in their full uniform. Grades PreK-5 can bring their uniform with them to school to change into for their party.

👑 Must be age-appropriate. No scary or adult themes.

🎭 Masks are not to be worn to school (bring to change into for the party). No scary masks.

⚔️ No weapons or props.

💄 No makeup or colored hair (unless it is a wig).

🌬 No blow up or inflatable costumes.
