This Week in Religious Education
What is happening for children, youth, and families at OUUC
Families and Youth and the Search Process
The Ministerial Search Committee wants families and youth to know how they can connect with the search process. Right now the committee is gathering input from the congregation - and that includes everyone, of all ages!
If you haven't already completed the Survey, please take some time this week to do so! Youth can complete this survey from their point of view. The Search Committee will be closing the survey on Friday of this week, do it now!
Mark your calendars for youth and family cottage meetings with the Search Committee:
- Middle School Group meeting September 23rd, 11am
- High School Group meeting September 23rd, 12:30pm
- Family meeting, childcare provided, September 30 12:30pm

Volunteers Sought for 2018-2019 classes
Would you like to be part of the wonderful team that makes faith development happen at OUUC?
For this coming year, we are particularly in need of those interested in helping our staff teacher as assistants in the Labyrinth Learning Class for 1st-5th grades, and those interested in being High School Youth Group Advisors.
Learn more and apply here.
The New Church Year is Coming Fast! We still need some volunteers ....
1) The Labyrinth Learning Class, for 1st-5th grade, needs 5 more assistants to join the team. This class is taught/led by our staff teacher, Anisa Bentlemsani. Assistants help with classroom management and run “stations” with activities that kids can choose among.
The time commitment is once a month, signing up for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th Sundays. To apply, please talk to our DRE, Sara Lewis, dre@ouuc.org or 360.786.6383
2) The High School Youth Group needs 3-4 more advisors. The High School Group meets at 12:30 on the 2nd and the 4th Sundays of the month, and plans occasional other events, overnights, and field trips. Advisors work with our DRE, Sara Lewis, to guide, facilitate, and chaperone the youth.
The time commitment is about once a month, and the preference is for volunteers to make a commitment of more than one year for the purpose of long-term mentorship and relationship building. To apply, please talk to our DRE, Sara Lewis, at dre@ouuc.org or 360.786.6383
