Note Pad/ Text Edit
Have you ever copied and pasted text into Canvas only to find out that it formatted funky? Then you try to fix it but end up retyping it. Microsoft Word and other word processing programs often have underlying code that transfers with the text. One way to remove the underlying code is to copy and paste the text from Word/Pages into MS Notepad or Apple Text Edit. Allowing you to remove the underlying formatting and copy and paste like a Pro! To find MS Notepad select the start menu button à All Programs à Accessories à Notepad. If you are using an Apple product open Text Edit à Command + Shift +T to convert the document to plain text and remove all formatting.
