About Hillcrest Hope
The Cause: Homelessness
What We Do: We transform and restore families, giving them a redemptive opportunity to write a second story in their lives. We believe families can create their best life when they have the tools to do it, and Hillcrest Hope equips them through rigorous education and community in a 90-day transformational housing environment. Our graduates leave with the skills they need to thrive as neighbors.
Details for April 19th: Volunteers will help sort donations, work in the garden area, clean up around the outside of the building, work in the kitchen preparing meal, clean or stock the pantry area, clean facilities and any other projects that pop up. Students will need to wear long sleeves and pants/jeans they don't mind getting dirty, as well as closed-toe shoes.
About KC Pet Project
The Cause: Saving Pet Lives
What We Do: We care for nearly 10,000 animals a year and work collaboratively with Animal Control and other animal welfare organizations to increase the number of homeless pets adopted, and focus on lifesaving programs promoting pet retention, identification, lost pet reunions, and pet ownership education throughout the community.
Details for April 19th: Volunteers will clean the facility inside and out, as well as help sort and organize supplies and possibility assist with landscaping needs. Students will need to wear long sleeves and pants/jeans they don't mind getting dirty, as well as closed-toe shoes.
About Life Unlimited
The Cause: Supporting People with Developmental Disabilities
What We Do: We support people with developmental disabilities to live a life with unlimited possibilities by providing community living, day services, employment services, and recreation programs.
Details for April 19th: Volunteers will clean and wash the nonprofit's fleet of medical vehicles. Students will need to wear long sleeves and pants/jeans they don't mind getting dirty, as well as closed-toe shoes.
About Shoal Creek Living History Museum
The Cause: Historical Preservation
What We Do: We run an 80-acre museum in Hodge Park with seventeen authentic 19th-century buildings dating from 1807 – 1885. The museum provides historical reenactments, educational programs, and more.
Details for April 19th: Volunteers will complete a variety of projects around the grounds including landscaping, cleaning, minor construction, etc. Students will need to wear long sleeves and pants/jeans they don't mind getting dirty, as well as closed-toe shoes.
About Clay County Parks and Rec
The Cause: Provide a Higher Quality of Life to Clay County Citizens
What We Do: We manage more than 6,000 acres of parks including two golf courses, 24 miles of trails, 777 camp sites, 2 marinas, swim beaches, museums, parks, and other historic sites.
Details for April 19th: Volunteers will complete a variety of cleaning, landscaping and minor construction projects around Smithville Lake. Students will need to wear long sleeves and pants/jeans they don't mind getting dirty, as well as closed-toe shoes.
Liberty Parks and Rec
About Liberty Parks and Rec
What We Do: Liberty Parks and Rec manages more than 500 acres of parks, 16 miles of trails and several shelters, sports fields, the northland's first off-leash dog park, spraygrounds and more amenities throughout the City.
Details for April 19th: Volunteers will help with litter control and other various landscaping projects at local parks. Students will need to wear long sleeves and pants/jeans they don't mind getting dirty, as well as closed-toe shoes.
About Liberty Hospital
What We Do: Liberty Hospital is a comprehensive medical center with a full range of services, the latest technology and a compassionate staff focused on providing you with exceptional care.
Details for April 19th: At Liberty Hospital, volunteers will rake pine and cyprus tree needles in a couple small grass areas, litter control and mulch the hospital garden beds. Volunteers will need to wear long sleeves and pants/jeans they don't mind getting dirty, as well as closed-toe shoes.

• opportunities for quiet reflection and reconnection with the natural world.
Details for April 19th: At MLT Nature Sanctuary, volunteers will help with litter control, debris pick-up, mulching garden beds and other various projects. Volunteers will need to wear long sleeves and pants/jeans they don't mind getting dirty, as well as closed-toe shoes.
