We appreciate any help we can get to make this a successful book fair.
If your student(s) have overdue library books, please help to see that they get those turned in. I'd also like to ask parents/guardians to continue to read to their students at home to help nurture their love of books. Thank you and see you in the library!
News From Art Class
Hi families!
Happy November!
Besides egg cartons, we also need empty and clean one gallon ice cream buckets.
As always, the art room is filled with busy students engaged in exciting art projects! Third graders are learning about volume and the difference between two dimensional forms and three-dimensional forms. They are working with drawing and collage. Fourth graders are working on a large and spicy painting project! Last month, fifth graders created a personal symbol, this month they are carving a stamp of that symbol. Fifth grade students will use their logo throughout the school year for various projects.
As always, please reach out with questions or concerns.
Be well,
Thea Storz

News From Music Class
Hello from music!
On November 10th at 8:45 am, K-5th will be putting on a Veteran’s Day Program to say thank you to our Veterans. The program will take place outside by the playground, families are welcome to join! I have handed out some Veteran’s Day Stars that can be dedicated to a Veteran you know. These are optional, if you choose to fill one out, they should be decorated and returned to homeroom teacher. We will have them displayed for Veteran’s Day. Our kiddos have been practicing very hard, we are excited to show you what we have been working on! If you could please have your child dress in red, white, and blue that would be amazing!
Thank you!
-Abby Harrison
Save the Children
Hello students and families!
3rd and 5th grade have begun programming. This is exciting new! Thank you to all who have retuned parental forms. 4th grade please be on the lookout for parental forms from your students as I will be sending those out throughout the month.
The last couple weeks we have started RAvFL. RAvFL is a read aloud, vocabulary, and fluency portion of our program which focuses on vocabulary words and their meaning. On Fridays we play vocabulary games with the words we have learned from our book of the week. We have also been practicing our fluency using poems. During our fluency portion we read silly poems in silly voices and practice choral reading as a group along with other fun ways of reading.
We will continue to do RAvFL throughout November focusing on a new book, vocabulary words, and poems each week.
Thank you and I look forward to a happy and healthy November!
